  If her jaw weren’t attached to her face, it would have surely hit the floor in pure disbelief this was straight out of a fairy tale book. She pinched her arm to ensure she wasn’t in some strange, crazy dream. Feeling the pain, she knew, without a doubt, this was reality.

  “Is something wrong?” she walked over, grabbed Lesa’s hands.

  This woman knows Lesa, does that mean everything she said was true.

  “No, El got her powers; she is no longer safe here,” Lesa said more frantic than she should have.

  “Lesa, calm yourself, tell me what happened?”

  “This morning, El was at the park, when a young man hit her with a rock in the back of her head, which made her angry blue sparks with electrical bolts flew out of her fingertips, striking a tree, instead of the young man.”

  “I see. You did right by summoning me El will need to return with me at once.”

  Wide-eyed from disbelief, the woman who stood with Lesa was Elven, which explained why she had pointy ears, not to mention she was pretty sure El was short for Elven.

  The Elven woman turned, “It is good to see you doing well, my child. I am your mother, Ivoka, the Queen of the Elves. Please accept these garments, don them, make sure to leave all things of this world behind. There will be no need for them where you’re going. You need to make haste; this doorway between worlds won't last long.”

  Not moving a muscle El couldn’t believe what had happened even though she had seen it with her own eyes, she shook her head as she blinked her eyes to clear away the zombie mode
